Ishak Paşha Palace, Turkey

Hey Folks!

I sure hope you have enjoyed the last week of posts, I know I have.

Ive been hitching around Eastern Turkey and have started to become addicted to the rush. I havent been in a bus for about a month now. All my transportation has been free. I hope to continue this trend all through Europe.

Enjoy the most recent photos. Sorry for the bad colour, I really need Adobe to make them look like they should. They are downsized and downcoloured. I shoot in AdobeRGG and post-processing is needed.

D.

A shot while waiting for a hitch.

Somehow our ride took us to a random waterfall. Stuff like this would never happen if I took a mini-bus.

Image stabilizer owns. Shot obtained freehand.

Inside Isha.

All the colours are off, but you get the idea.

The wind was fierce, had to be very careful.

Voila!

Wandering up into the mountains looking for some Armenian tribes we came along some shepards. They couldnt speak English but were very happy to see us.

This dog wasnt a dog, he was full-on wolf. Either a wolf or the biggest dog ive even seen. He didnt attack just let us know not to mess with him or his sheep.

The clouds opened momentarily to allow us to snap this shot.

The town where Isha lies is full of army men. We are merely kilometers from the border and there was a cool army store that I bought the above clothes with. You dont know how happy I was to throw on some longjons. The touque was a real bonus too!

Greg and I hung around for an extra day to see if the clouds would clear up around Ararat. They didnt. Maybe Noahs Ark is in a perpetual state of rain? Heh

This photo has a story. On our way from Doğubayazit to Kars we were constantly stopped by the patrolling army. We got out at one of the checkstops and talked to some of the troops. They had 2 tanks and some armoured troop transports hanging out. Pretty neat stuff. They offered us some chai. We stayed for about an hour until the next semi came by and drove us to the next town. Fun stuff.
