Excerpt from Mark Barretts Blog

"From the Cameron Highlands I headed down to Kuala Lumpur to meet up with Dan again. We stayed in a hostel like we usually do, only this time one of the girls in our room was a little different. She was Chinese, and had clearly never slept in a hostel or mixed-gender dorm room before because when we walked in she was asleep stark naked. She didn't seem to mind when she woke up though and we had a friendly enough meet and greet. I had heard that our other English female roommate had some trouble with the Chinese girl the previous night but she seemed friendly enough, odd though it was she was trouserless. She wasn't so friendly later that night. Dan and I got back to the room at about 11pm and prepared to go to sleep. The bunk bed was pretty creaky and that combined with the fact that the light switch was broken and had trouble turning off resulted in the Chinese girl waking up. "WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM?" she screamed at us. Dan told her to take it easy, especially since she had been sleeping all day and our 10 minutes to get ready for bed wasn¡¦t gonna kill her. She threw an absolute fit tossing her CDs at us. She then went down to the reception to bring up the guys who worked at the hostel. Luckily they already knew how crazy she was from her episode the night previous. She came back upstairs with them and then proceeded to throw a cup at Dan's head while screaming obscenities. Instead of getting us removed, she got herself removed. As it turned out, she was actually a prostitute and the police had been doing raids on the street outside our hostel checking peoples passports. It appears she just ran inside the nearest accommodation. Her employment also explains why she sleeps all day and couldn¡¦t seem to care less who saw her knicker-less. Made for an interesting anecdote for Dan and I, though."
