Day 89: Melaka, Malaysia
Christ Church and clock tower.
Amazingly this building was built with pink bricks brought from Zeeland, Holland in 1753. (Left) The Stadthuys was built between 1641 and 1660 and is believed to be the oldest Dutch building in the East. (Right)
Chee Mansion (Right).
Eng Choon Association. (Left) This dragon is part of the pillar from the left picture. (Right)
These stone carvings were incredible.
Guangfu Temple (Left), Cheng Hoon Teng Temple (Right)
You can imagine the smells you experience on these walks. Best and worst smells you can imagine. (Left) Kampung Kling Mosque (Right)
Ruins of St Paul's Church (Right)
Built by a Portuguese captain in 1521 St. Paul's Church remains at the top of this Slope. (Right)
Seri Melaka, the former official residence of the governor and built by the Dutch in the 17th century. (Right)
Porta de Santiago, once the main gate, and all that remains, of the Portuguese fortress A'Famosa. (Left)
