Todra Gorge, Morocco

Hey folks!

I hope this post is as good as my last one. I really got excited when I saw the desert photos. The trip from the desert to High Atlas mountains was something else. Three taxis and a bus finally brought me into the stunning Todra Gorge.

The first day involved me hanging out with 2 Italians dudes, 2 Hungarians and a Spanish girl. We shared two triple rooms and had a nice Berber (Think sand people without George Lucas) dinner then headed to a wedding.

Berber weddings last three days with celebrations going on throught the late nights. I got tons of footage and the highlight was watching the men chant, beat drums, and do the ho down to some great music. Being in what looked like a bombed out village added in making the whole experience very authentic.

Day two a hike into the mountains was in order and I was impressed. The two Italians gave up 20 minutes in, they couldnt take the heat.

Continuing on I was rewarded by running into some Berber children and thier flock of goats.

Then another hour up I stumbled into a camp full of baby lambs, donkies, cave dwellings and camel skin tents. The father (show above) gave me some amazing tea from some plants he grew himself.

These photos show the hour I spend with the Berber family.

Above shows the Berber camp.

The day finished off with yet again an amazing Moroccan dinner.
