Apparently Kyoto is the last place you can find authentic Geisha. The "train" young starting at 14. Kyoto was protected from the war and deep tradition remains untouched all this time.
The walk to the Temple was almost better than the Temple itself. Long narrow streets with vendors everywhere. Japans version of a tourist trap. You can imagine these streets being used for difference commerce a hundred years ago.
These buildings are actually shrines, not temples. Further in the temple hangs onto the mountain.
I didnt have a sun filter so these photos turned out really white washed. Where is photoshop when I need it?
