Raliegh Rock Climbing!

Hey again!

These posts are all backwards. These are from yesterday.

Yesterday was an incredible day. Mark and I booked an intermediate rock climbing trip. The climb lasts from 9am till 1pm.

These climbs were incredible. We got hooked up with a guide that lead us into some 5.7's right to 7.0's. 8.0 is the highest you can go in North America.

Climbing takes some guts. When your up 15-25 meters up you always question what a nasty fall would feel like. Luckily The 4 of us didnt fall once.

This first climb was pretty easy. It was mostly the warmup to get our heads into it. You just go go go.

Preparing for the second climb. (Top left) Mental Prep (Top right)

The second climb was great. There was this massive boulder about 5 meteres up that you had to hug and lift yourself around. You stand up and trust there is something on the top of the boulder, otherwise, weeee.

Our third climb. Its neat some of the holds you can put you hand inside, then make a fist to hold on.

What you dont see is that behind me is a beach and ocean, quite nice.

Getting pretty high up there. (Top left) Victory! (Top right)

The flight down is unreal. You lean back and put yourself in a position similiar to driving a car. Then once you get some slack you push off the cliff and bounce down. Its very different from doing it indoors in Canada.
